7 Days Of Laziness - Sort Of

Yesterday, I completed my first international distance triathlon and I had a great day.

My time was 3h 22 mins and change and I placed 2nd in my age group.

I am planning on having the race report up by tomorrow, so be on the lookout for that one. Most likely, it's going to be quite lengthy!

************************************
Today marks the first day of my "7 Days Of Laziness". I am planning on NOT working out until my half marathon plan starts next Monday. I am saying "sort of" lazy, because I still have to work and I want to catch up on some household duties... But Terry, the great hubby that he is, took a major chunk out of my to do list yesterday already... Gotta love him!

But I will be super lazy in the workout department. Other than yoga, walking the dog and 10 minutes of core* every day... Nothing!

*This is part of a BT challenge that I initiated for August and I better get the work done, since I am running the challenge... So much pressure! ;-)

I have been really good when it came to food lately**, so I indulged in a mushroom cheeseburger and fries over lunch *gasp* and it was soooo good. Normally, I would have had something like this yesterday already, but my stomach was in it's usual post-race "leave-me-alone" mood, so I stayed good to prevent real issues.

**The night before the race, we were at our niece's birthday party. The party was in an ice cream shop and there was nothing to eat except ice cream and cake... So I had a party pack of peanut m&m's... I hated every secon of not having ice cream, but knew I would hate it even more if I had stomach issues during the race... And things were great during the race, just after... a little queesy, but who cares AFTER the race! ;-)

Here is some lazy cuteness to show how I feel today:

So long! ;-)

  1. I can't wait to read your race recap :) You did so awesome, congrats!

I love the idea of 7 days of laziness! It's funny how we often forget that our bodies need rest sometimes.
